As the calendar year 2024 draws to a close, I have personally grown, stretched and challenged myself in ways I didn’t even know I could. I am incredibly proud of the little retail gallery business that we birthed in the beautiful – stunning – little town of Carleton Place.
It has been an absolute honour to showcase the deep talent of local and regional artists and help them display their work in a bright, expertly lit and professional setting. It has been even MORE rewarding to connect with the amazing community members who have supported us, partnered with us or come into this lovely little gallery to create with us. From the outset, our tag line was ‘An Art Gallery for the Community’ and it really felt like the community was in us, and we were in it. So many of the contacts we have made are now good friends and I look forward to staying connected, however as of January 1, 2025, I will no longer be a partner of Carleton Place Gallery. Thank you to ALL our customers from near and far for taking the time to come support our business and take home original fine art works.
This week represents my last three working days at the gallery – today (Sunday, Dec. 15), Tuesday Dec. 17 and Sunday Dec. 22 – and I’d love to personally invite you to stop in to say hello if you are so inclined! In the new year, the gallery will continue to operate as a sole proprietorship with Ginny Fobert as Gallerist and will continue to showcase incredible art and talent, as well as hosting monthly Art House Music concerts and workshops in the studio.
I am personally really looking forward to getting back into the studio to evolve my art practice and continue to push myself creatively and am excited to continue to offer workshops and lessons in January and beyond. Be sure to sign up for my VIP email list and/or check my website to see what opportunities are coming to explore your artistic side with me. Reach out any time for commissions, custom workshops etc. and know that whatever comes next, I welcome change and new challenges! May your holidays be filled with joy, laughter and connection with loved ones.
